Besides individual training programs, basic courses are given in collaboration with the Karolinska University Hospital and further courses in advanced laboratory andrology is under development. After basic training there is a need for continued quality training adjusted according to local requirements. Development of Quality Control systems Adaption of procedures for optimized quality in the laboratory work. Documentation of procedures for Quality Control. Supervision of Quality Development Development of documented procedures for continuous quality development, including training in quality matters and quality work. Support for establishment of Quality Policy Development of quality policy adapted to the requirements of the local laboratory, based on documented procedures, quality control and quality development. Help with lab reports Possibility to assess laboratory results with or without forming replies to referring clinicians. ExcelTM-based result databases and lab protocols LB Andrologidata: an automatized system for simple and secure handling of semen analysis results, printout of cumulative lab reports, list as basis for debits etc. The system has been assessed and approved in a recent official accreditation procedure at the Andrology Laboratory of the Karolinska University Hospital, 2007. The system is based on ordinary office PC computer software (Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003-2007). Adaptation to recommendations of the WHO, ESHRE and NAFA Procedures, training, quality work and computer system are all adapted to existing recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and Nordic Association for Andrology.
